In collaboration with Perspectives Climate Change, Ricardo Energy & Environment will be presenting a free webinar on 31 May, focusing on how to achieve mitigation through low carbon development.
This complimentary webinar will provide in-depth information on long-term mitigation planning; from identifying opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, through to sectoral strategies and specific policies and Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions to deliver those reductions.
During the webinar, participants will be offered practical tips and guidance, including suggesting the immediate next actions that can be taken to implement long-term mitigation plans.
The webinar is aimed at government representatives from developed and developing countries, international organisations, development partners and representatives of business, academia and civil society interested in supporting NDC implementation.
Speakers will include:
James Harries, mitigation specialist at Ricardo Energy & Environment. James is a mitigation expert and has managed mitigation-related projects in Bangladesh, South Africa and Japan in recent years. Before joining Ricardo Energy & Environment four years ago, he spent ten years in UK Government working on climate change policy development.
Emelia Holdaway, Manager, International Climate Change Policy at Ricardo Energy & Environment. Emelia has over 19 years of climate change and environmental sustainability experience, working with both the public and private sector, specialising in international climate change policy, capacity building and climate finance.
